The beaches

Névez has two harbours, Kerdruc and Port-Manech, that second harbour has a very nice white sand beach. The most beautiful beach, dubbed « tahiti » is at a 15 minutes drive from the house.

The village of Nevez

The house is located at a five minute walking distance from the Névez village. Névez has 2500 inhabitants. Some live in the main village and many others in one of the many small hamelns or “ker” in Breton. The village has a post office, two supermarkets at a walking distance from the house, two baker shops, two ATMs, a newspaper shop with all major English and German newspapers during the summer, a weekly market. The town of Pont Aven

The house is close to the charming town of Pont-Aven, where numerous artists had decided to live at the turn of the XXth century, following the steps of one of them, the then-ignored Gauguin. (Pictures: the center of Pont-Aven, with the river and the harbour).
